Rumours have to come from *somewhere*...

At dinner, we noticed that the iPod had enough firewire bandwidth (based on how long it took to load songs into it in bulk) to keep up with a firewire DV camera. As such, it could keep up with the iSight... and firewire is symmetric enough that it might only need software. Even if it wasn't a primary use, I'd often be quite happy to carry the iSight in another pocket "just in case", I'd have the iPod handy anyway, and then "ooh, I'd like to record this now" *rummage through pockets a bit* *poof* have a little camera grab an hour or so uncompressed, with more quality and usability than the Panasonic SV-A20 (yeah, the "tomb raider 2 camera") since it would be all-firewire...
