"uniquities" meme

(via cjsmith) (and for "friends list" assume both incoming and outgoing, lj isn't useful to me as an rss reader, only for acls, so my read-friends list is almost empty...)

Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

The band (and I think the album) named "Big Jim Gettys". Picked up in Disc Diggers in davis^2, entirely because of the name (a band named after one of the original X developers? oooh. I've considered giving it to him, but (1) I don't run into him more than once every 3 or 4 years (2) the music is *really* bad...)

Runner up: Alvin and the Chipmunks, "The A-Files". ph33r.

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:

Oh, I'm sure there are *lots* of those just by the pigeonhole principle (most of my friends don't own houses, so I may just be able to outstack them :-) But the "sure thing" example would also be the *newest* book I have that no-one else here will: Wiley/IEEE "Mobile Ad Hoc Networking", 2004, with an *ahem* personal dedication from one of the contributors.)

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:

I was going to say "Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs" but I think mizmoose has a copy too :-) (It would probably otherwise qualify as "no-one else... would admit to having.") Alternatively, "Them" (1954? giant ants under LA) or one of the Atomic Test Footage DVDs...

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:

I could be wrong, but: West Point Military Academy (two week program, one summer in High School.) More likely: Charleroi, Belgium - the "sister city" of Pittsburgh (no really, I have a picture of the sign) - mostly because, if you weren't there for a conference, you wouldn't have had any *other* reason to go... update: yep, several people hit West Point. Hmm, I'd put the Toronto Stock Exchange, but that was for *work*...
